Consent, Creator Rights, and Responsible Adult Media

Consent is not a vague label. It involves willing participation, lawful recording and distribution, and respect for a person’s ability to change their mind.

Consent is not a vague label. It involves willing participation, lawful recording and distribution, and respect for a person’s ability to change their mind.

Consent must be informed and voluntary

Every participant in adult media must be an adult and must freely agree to the activity and its recording. Consent to one activity is not blanket consent to every activity, audience, edit, or later use. Coercion, deception, intoxication that prevents meaningful choice, and threats undermine consent.

Publication requires rights too

Permission to create a video does not automatically mean every website may distribute it. Publishers should have a lawful basis and appropriate rights for the material they host. A creator’s official website or licensed platform is a better source than a repost whose origin cannot be checked.

Do not share private or leaked material

Content described as leaked, hidden-camera, revenge, or non-consensual should not be opened, downloaded, or redistributed. Re-sharing can amplify harm even when the original upload came from someone else. If you encounter such content, report it to the platform and avoid spreading copies or screenshots.

A responsible reporting process

A site should make it easy for a performer, copyright owner, or concerned visitor to report a problem. Reports should identify the relevant URL and explain the concern without requiring the person to repost the harmful material. The operator should review the report promptly, preserve only necessary records, and take appropriate action under its policies and applicable law.

What visitors can check

Look for clear platform rules, moderation contact details, creator attribution where appropriate, and a credible takedown procedure. No visual design can prove consent on its own, but transparency and accountable handling of complaints are meaningful signals.
